Let me know if there are any additional Bet Labs filters that you would like to see added. Many of the filters that we have added have come at the request of Bet Labs users and we are always looking to improve the software.

Here's a new thought I had over the weekend. Since many sportsbooks disallow "correlated parlays" there is at a minimum a sizable group of people that believe that they provide too big of an edge for the players. With that in mind, how about a new filter for all sides and totals (pro and college) that provides a list and range view for the difference between opening totals minus absolute value of the favorite spread (or for simplicity could just say total - underdog line so the value would always be positive).

For example, if the opening total is 49 and the opening line is Team A +14, then the value would be 35. I think that filter would be dynamic if it could be added.

Cheers and keep up the great work!

Love the concept. Personally love using totals and spread together in systems and understand what you are trying to achieve.

Just realized the filter that has been added is "current" Total - "current" Spread. I really need Opening Total - Opening Spread. My systems are based on openers, not current or closing lines after public has moved everything.

Also, in "list view" the boxes aren't staying checked/unchecked. I know the boxes stay checked in the system, but it makes updating a pain having to recheck them all. Thank again!

Thanks for the check/uncheck fix!

I would like to see "look ahead" filters. I want to know how well teams preform in; for example, non conference games when their next game is a game against a conference rival. I would like to bust the "look ahead" game myth...

team totals for NBA..

I mean it will be perfect to see a defensive minded team's, opponent's total u/o.

total under/over line should be tricky here, i assume to see home/visitor difference in team totals would be perfect!

one more;

to see the over/under percentage of a team like a wining rate..

so that we can see if overish teams meet what will be the results etc.

Sorry about the slow response.

To see the team's over or under percentage for the current season is something that we will work on getting.

I was running through the other request and I believe that would just be the spread. The difference between the two teams' totals will almost always be equal to the game spread which is already available as a filter.

If I'm not correct in what you were asking for, please let me know.

It's probably not possible to solve, but I've noticed that a couple games a week pop in or pop out of my systems' list within the last few seconds of the game starting. This makes it impossible to act on but it registers as a play in the system record which skews real results. The next day, I'll even see plays registered on the system's record that I never even saw available; so I just assumed they came in just seconds before game time.

So if there is a way to filter out the last few minutes (5 minutes maybe?) before a game starts when developing a system that would be great....probably extremely difficult if not impossible, but I thought I'd throw that out there.

We have heard about this issue before, but there is not much we can do with some of the data. If your system is built upon lines, line movement, or betting percentages, those things are always changing. The Panthers were below 25% for most of the week, but ended up closing at 26% of the bets, meaning it didn't fall into my system.

One solution that some of our members have used is building systems based on static data. The most common is building a system based off of an opening line. That takes out some of the volatility that you are seeing.

Also, although it's not a filter necessarily I'm commenting on, it's the ability to be able to modify range filters on an iPad. For some reason the range filters won't display the numbers and won't let you save the data. I even tried a Java substitute and still nothing.

In CBB, would love to see team age and the players who played the majority of minutes from last year returned the following year. I believe it would help early on in November especially in the beginning weeks finding teams who have more chemistry or those that are younger and will probably need more time to mesh ... at least that's the hypothesis.
