Red, White and Brow: Will Newly Added Olympian Anthony Davis Win Rookie of the Year?

With Olympic basketball just around the corner, and the top young prospects already displaying their talents in the NBA Summer League, it’s only fitting that Bovada has released odds for the 2012-13 NBA Rookie of the Year. To nobody’s surprise, number one draft pick Anthony Davis is the odds on frontrunner with +150 (3/2) odds to win this coveted award.

Fear the Brow: Who Do Oddsmakers Think Will Be Selected After Anthony Davis?

The NBA draft is scheduled for tomorrow night, and the fireworks have already begun. Just over a week ago,  the Washington Wizards dealt away Rashard Lewis’ expiring contract and a second round pick (as well as all future cap flexibility) to New Orleans in exchange for Emeka Okafor and Trevor Ariza — indicating the Hornets are entering a full-on rebuilding mode. Then yesterday, things got really interesting.

King James Has Finally Been Crowned, But Can He Be Dethroned?

The NBA season wrapped up less than a week ago, but that doesn’t stop fans from speculating on the future. LeBron James has already promised to bring multiple titles to South Beach (not one, not two, not three…) so with one finally in the bag, what are the odds of repeating in 2013?

Bovada recently posted their future odds and surprise, surprise, they anticipate a re-match of this year’s finals with both Miami and Oklahoma listed as 5/2 favorites to take home the Larry O’Brien trophy. Neither team has any rotation players hitting free agency and will return the core of their lineup next season, but with the NBA draft scheduled for Thursday night, there could be a lot of wheeling and dealing that may impact these odds.
