Florida Marlins +101 over Colorado Rockies
Colorado has started the season strong, winning 13 of its first 18 games, en route to Major League Baseball’s best record. Tonight’s starter, Jhoulys Chacin (3-0, 1.64 ERA), was lights-out in his last start, a complete-game shutout against the Cubs.
Florida has also gotten off to an impressive start, posting an 11-6 record so far in 2011. The Marlins will send Anibal Sanchez (0-1, 5.51 ERA) to the mound as he looks to notch his first win of the year. Sanchez pitched well in his last appearance, allowing two runs in six innings against Philadelphia.
Colorado opened as a -125 favorite at CRIS and is currently a significant public favorite. The Rockies are garnering 73% of moneyline wagers and 90% of runline bets, yet the line has dropped to -120, suggesting sharp money has come down on the home underdog.
The lopsided betting makes this game a candidate to be one of our MLB Square Plays, which are currently +16.97 units on the season.
As a result, we’ll Bet Against the Public, shop for the best line and take the Marlins at the best possible number.
