Sunday Sports Marketplace

Yesterday’s look at the Saturday Hoops Marketplace highlighted the Cavs (5 point underdogs) as a contrarian play, which ended up being an outright winner against the streaking Knicks.
In today’s NFL marketplace, there are many lopsided-bet games. Let’s see what the team at SportsInsights is looking at:
- Interestingly, the Giants, as a home favorite, are receiving just 30% of the bets. The Public normally likes favorites, but the Eagles, powered by Michael Vick, have the attention of the Public bettors. The Public prefers high-octane offenses compared to plodding, defensive-minded teams like the Giants. In addition, the Eagles beat the Giants 27-17 just one month ago. The heavy betting on the Eagles is creating a bit of line value in terms of vig on the Giants (better odds on the Giants -3) — and Pinnacle has even ticked the line down to Giants -2.5.
- The heaviest-bet game of the day remains the Atlanta-Seattle match-up, as highlighted by SportsInsights NFL Marketwatch.
- A close second in the “heaviest-bet” game of the day is the Washington-Dallas game. Dallas, with its new coach, has been rejuvenated — and is collecting a huge 86% of the bets, as 7-point favorites. Keep an eye on the Redskins as a potential contrarian value play. In addition, check out the marketplace indicators and SportsInsights published selections for its Members.
