NCAA Football — College Bowl Update

In an earlier blog post, we looked at some of the College Bowl games.  Here, we give an update on upcoming big games during the college bowl season and also focus on the heaviest-bet game of this week.

• In College Football action this week, Boise State, which had its eyes on the National Title — is receiving the heaviest betting activity.  This game is the heaviest-bet game over the next few days — and is also one of the most lopsided-bet games.  Boise State is receiving about 3 out of every 4 bets as 17-point favorites.  They are heavy favorites, but not as huge as some of their 30-plus-point spreads in other games this season.  Utah could be an interesting contrarian / “bet against the public” play in this game. • The National Championship game on January 10th between Oregon and Auburn is also seeing steady betting interest.   Auburn, the slight favorite (3-point favorites), is receiving slightly more than half of the bets (60%).  The point spread has been very steady, staying at 3-points, while the total is also currently sticking at 74.
