Sharp Money Taking Washington Wizards Over Chicago Bulls
Playoff seeding will be on the line tonight when the Washington Wizards (40-36 SU, 38-26-2 ATS) host the Chicago Bulls (44-32 SU, 38-37-1 ATS) in a potential preview of their first round matchup. The game opened as a pick’em, however, the red-hot Bulls have been heavily bet by the public receiving 64% of spread bets.
Despite this one-sided betting, the line remained as a pick’em at CRIS until a steam move was triggered on the Washington Wizards on Saturday morning at 10:31 PM eastern. Within one minute of this steam move Washington moved to -1 and less than half an hour later the Wizards were 2-point favorites across the sports betting marketplace.
The line graph below, which is available to Sportsbook Insider subscribers, shows the line movement since opening at CRIS.
It’s also worth noting that betting line movement that contradicts the public betting percentages is commonly referred to as reverse line movement — another strong indicator that sharp money likes the hometown Wizards tonight.
Finally, officiating could favor the Wizards tonight as Mark Lindsay (204-178, +15.87 units) has been the best home referee in terms of units won since 2005.

Update: The Wizards have moved to -2.5 at most offshore sportsbooks.
