2015 Preakness Stakes Odds
After winning the 2015 Kentucky Derby as the +250 favorite, American Pharoah will look to take home a win at the Preakness Stakes on its quest to the Triple Crown. Prior to the Derby, the odds of any horse to win all three prestigious races ranged from +500 to +800. American Pharoah is now listed anywhere between +200 and +325 to win the Triple Crown which will make the Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes particularly entertaining. Last year California Chrome won both the Derby and Preakness, but ultimately finished 4th in the Belmont Stakes, failing to win the first Triple Crown since Affirmed in 1978.
Below shows the early odds at Sportsbook.com to win the Preakness and we’ll continue to update as the race gets closer:

Despite being the clear favorite around the market, American Pharoah is only getting about 20% of bets to win the Preakness (via BetDSI). Firing Line and Dortmund are also getting about 20% of bets to win the race. We’d expect a higher percentage of bets on American Pharoah with such a small field so there’s potentially value on the Triple Crown hopeful.
Sportsbook.com also posted a prop bet on the margin of victory by the winner, which may provide some value rather than picking a specific horse to win:
