Insight Bowl College Football Betting Trends: Iowa vs. Oklahoma
In Friday’s Insight Bowl, Oklahoma opened as a 15.5-point favorite at the market-setting Cris sportsbook and is currently receiving 61% of spread bets, according to Sports Insights’ College Football Betting Trends.
Despite this slanted betting percentage, the line has dropped past the key number of 14 to 13.5. This reverse line movement indicates that sharp bettors are taking Iowa.
The health of multiple key players for both teams will be a significant factor to monitor. Oklahoma is already without star receiver Ryan Broyles whose season was ended weeks ago due to a knee injury, and could be without DE Frank Alexander (Questionable-Arm) and Ronnell Lewis (Doubtful-Knee). For Iowa, RB Marcus Coker (1384 rushing yards, 15 TD) has been suspended for the game for undisclosed disciplinary issues.
Our Premium and Premium Pro members can receive injury alerts to their e-mail or cell phones, but for anybody else make sure to visit our NFL injuries page for up to the minute updates.
Although most sportsbooks have this game available at -13.5, a handful of books are offering -14 including Bodog and Carib. This again shows the value of keeping multiple books and exemplifies the importance of shopping the best line.
