What You Need to Know About Tonight’s Texans-Panthers Game
The first full week of the 2017 NFL preseason officially kicks off tonight with one game between the Houston Texans and Carolina Panthers.
Tuesday morning, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Cam Newton, who is recovering from offseason shoulder surgery, is not expected to play.

With Cam expected to sit out, the line has dropped from an opener of Panthers -3 at CRIS to a pick’em.
Conversely, the Houston Texans plan on playing all three of their quarterbacks, with Tom Savage getting the start.
Tom Savage will start Wednesday night against the @Panthers, but the other two #Texans QBs will play.
