College Football Week 3 Marketwatch
The season is flying by as usual, and we’ve already entered Week 3. On Thursday night, Boise State (-15.5) won but failed to cover against New Mexico (35% of bets), a nice way for contrarian bettors to start the week. Below we’ve highlighted a couple of the biggest matchups this weekend as well as high spreads, totals, lopsided-bet games and more.
Oklahoma State at Pittsburgh:
One of the most popular spread bets of the weekend, Oklahoma State, moved from -11.5 up to -13, but have since dropped back down to -11. We did trigger a sharp money move on Oklahoma State at -11.5, but since then there have been numerous bet signals on Pitt at +14 and +14.5.
Tennessee at Florida:
Gators opened -8.5 at BetOnline on Sunday afternoon but have been bet down to -4.5. Public action is all over the Vols (68%) while Florida deals with lingering suspensions. Florida does have the advantage of not playing last week, so they should be fresh, but it appears that head coach Jim McElwain could be on the hot seat. His odds of being first SEC coach fired this year have moved from +4000 to +1000 despite the Gators only playing one game so far (blowout loss to Michigan).
