2015 NCAA Tournament Futures
The 2015 NCAA Tournament tips off tonight with the first of four play-in games as Manhattan (-9) faces Hampton and BYU (-3) takes on Ole Miss. Although you might not believe it based on the media coverage, there are teams other than Kentucky playing in this tournament — some of whom have legitimate title aspirations.
Most sportsbooks are offering a Kentucky vs. The Field prop bet and, if you’ve been reading our blog, you know that we like the value on “the field.” But that raises the question: Which team is capable of knocking off the Wildcats?
Our bracket simulator gives Kentucky a 34.6% chance of winning the national championship, followed by Wisconsin (10.6%), Villanova (9.7%), Arizona (9.5%), Virginia (8.6%), Duke (7.5%) and Gonzaga (7.3%). Of course, many bettors are likely wondering how those probabilities stack up to predictions from oddsmakers.
The table below displays the current championship futures for every team at 5Dimes along with their odds to reach the Sweet 16, Final Four and the title game.
