A Look at Today’s NFL Marketplace
SportsInsights’ analysts are focusing on several NFL games this weekend. In particular, there seems to be some value in the Dallas-Green Bay match-up, as highlighted by our weekly NFL Marketwatch column that has connected for a 65% winning percentage this year (and several years of consistently positive results).
Another game that shows contrarian value is the Seattle-New York Giant game. The sports marketplace “value indicators” point to Seattle — which agrees with current ANTI-public perceptions. New York sports fans are clamoring for a New York-New York Super Bowl (!!), but most sports fans forget that Seattle is currently a first-place team. The line opened at Seattle +5, and has moved a big 2.5 points to a Seattle +7.5 because a big majority of bets are taking the Giants (currently on a four-game winning streak). This is some good line value through the key number of 7, for a live home underdog.
