AFC East Betting Preview

AFC East Betting Preview

The New England Patriots are predicted to be one of the best teams in the league heading into the 2017 season, but the same can’t be said for their divisional foes. The AFC East is expected to be dominated by the Patriots in what oddsmakers are predicting to be a historic season for Brady and company. Unsurprisingly, the Patriots currently have the best odds (-1000) to win their division for the ninth consecutive time.

The Dolphins were the only other AFC East team to make the playoffs last season and they currently sit at +850 to break New England’s divisional championship streak. Buffalo comes in behind Miami at +1200, with the lowly Jets sitting at the bottom with +16000 odds to shock the world and dethrone the Patriots.

The AFC East was a profitable division for those backing the Patriots and the Dolphins, but the same can’t be said for the Jets and Bills. As far as totals are concerned, Buffalo and Miami were very profitable when betting on the over. The combined over record for the two teams went 24-8 during the 2016 season.
