College Football Betting Trends – Central Florida vs. BYU
BYU opened as a 3.5 point favorite at Cris and, according to Sports Insights’ College Football Betting Trends, is currently receiving 59% of all spread bets. Despite receiving a majority of all spread bets, the line has dropped to -2. This reverse line movement indicates that sharp money is coming in on Central Florida.
Perhaps the most interesting tidbit is the manner in which the line moved from 3.5 to 3, as Central Florida was receiving just 37% of all spread wagers when this key number was reached.
A survey of the marketplace shows great solidarity between the books. Olympic, Canbet and Las Palmas have BYU favored by 2.5, however every other book has the game solidly at-2 (-110).
Both teams are fresh off of losses last week, although they came in entirely different fashions. While BYU was walloped at home by Utah 54-10, UCF outgained their opponents in total yardage but were derailed by two turnovers in a 17-10 loss against Florida International.
