Cowboys Futures Improve Following Zeke Update
Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliot was granted a preliminary injunction last night, meaning the second year back might not miss a single game this season. Elliot had been handed a six game suspension for domestic abuse, but Judge Amos Mazzant ruled in favor of Elliot, calling the punishment process unfair, and blocking the NFL’s previous suspension.

As last year’s leading rusher, Elliot’s likely presence in the Cowboys’ lineup has changed the outlook for Dallas in 2017. BetOnline has already improved the Cowboys’ future odds, though we are still waiting on a division update.
Cowboys Future Prop | BetOnline 9/5 | BetOnline (9/9) |
---|---|---|
Win Division | +180 | N/A |
Win NFC | +600 | +500 |
Win Super Bowl | +1200 | +1000 |
At +1000, the Cowboys are tied with the Steelers for the third best odds to win the Super Bowl (behind New England and Seattle). They’ll likely be the NFC East favorites as well, if that prop is re-posted. Prior to the Elliot update, they were tied with the Giants at +180 to win the division.
Zeke is also now listed at +1200 to win the MVP this season, tied for the fourth highest odds in the league.
