NCAAF Betting Trends: UCLA vs. Oregon
Friday’s slate of games is highlighted by the Pac-12 championship where 8th ranked Oregon will host UCLA. At 6-6 UCLA is an unlikely title contender, however, due to the sanctions placed on USC they were able to sneak in with a 5-4 conference record.
This game will also mark the last game for the Bruins head coach Rick Neuheisel who has already been fired, but will be allowed to call the shots this evening for one last time. Meanwhile, an Oregon win would clinch a BCS berth for the Ducks.
Oregon opened as a 29.5-point favorite at CRIS and, according to Sports Insights’ College Football Betting Trends, is currently receiving 70% of spread bets but just 26% of moneyline wagers.
This lopsided betting has shifted the line from -29.5 all the way to -31.5, although there is a range of available lines depending on where you look. Many books, including Carib and SIA have this game available at -31. On the flip side, Bodog and Legendz have this game available at -32 which once again exemplifies the importance of shopping for the best line.
The following table shows the breakdown of spread betting percentages from our six contributing sportsbooks:
Team | # Bets | Sportsbook | BetUS | Carib | WagerWeb | 5Dimes | SIA |
UCLA | 12267 | 32% | 28% | 23% | 27% | 41% | 24% |
Oregon | 68% | 72% | 77% | 73% | 59% | 76% |
