Weekend Sports Update
03/18/2012
This year’s edition of March Madness is keeping the tradition of upsetting most people’s brackets. In many ways, the madness is even more extreme this year, with two #2 seeds losing to #15 seeds in the first round! We hope that you had a chance to use some of the March Madness tools that we put together. Please let us know if found any of these particularly useful:
As Sunday’s games get set to start, with a final batch of teams vying for spots in the Sweet Sixteen, let’s take a look at the boards.
- The North Carolina – Creighton game is one of the heaviest-bet games of the day — and is also one of the most lopsided bet games of the day. Most people cannot see NC being upset, so the public is jumping on NC to the tune of about 80% of the bets. However, as we have said, the point spread is a great equalizer. In addition, as the #15 seeds have proven, anything can happen during March Madness.
- The Saint Louis – Michigan St. game is showing even heavier betting action, as well as even more lopsided betting action, with more than 80% of the bets on the favorite, Michigan State.
