Weekend Sports Update
The last two Final Four spots in the NCAA Men’s Tournament will be settled on Sunday, as we’ll take a quick look at today’s March Madness games along with other happenings in the sports marketplace. First, in today’s NCAA basketball games:
- Baylor has had a nice run through the tournament as a #3 seed; however, they have faced the #14, #11, and #10 seeds in the region through the first three rounds. Today they’ll face the top overall seed in the tourney, Kentucky, as an 8 point underdog. There is some line value compared to the opening line (6.5 opener at Pinnacle), and our analysts are keeping an eye on this game.
- The other Final Four spot will be filled by the winner of Kansas and North-Carolina–this game has been heavily bet and with Kansas remaining a 2-point favorite, the percentage of bets on each side is fairly even.
In the NBA, Square Plays remain hot and NBA Best Bets have had a nice run. In today’s early betting, Cleveland-Phoenix and Boston-Washington have been circled by our team for various reasons. As for the NHL, please look at these games for contrarian value:
- The Edmonton-Columbus game has lopsided-betting activity in early betting action for an early afternoon (3:00 pm, ET).
- Nashville-Chicago also is showing potential value on a visiting underdog, with just 30% of bettors backing the Nashville squad in early betting action.
